I'm formatting a text in the editor, but after saving it doesn't save the formatting I decided to use, why?

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing.

Sorry, it does not support formatting. Only plain text is allowed. It is a very old component and we do not support it. You should try SP Simple Portfolio or SP Easy Image Gallery instead.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I simply say that I find it absurd to use a template that is normally downloadable and then discover that a component that is part of the template is obsolete and no longer supported. Every time you discover something shocking.

I understand your situation. I am taking it seriously. I will talk with the management to improve this. Maybe we can write somewhere on the template page that the extension is out of support.

I agree with you. I have talked with the developer team. They have provided me a fix. Please go to this location:

administrator/components/com_spstrings/models/forms/

and replace album.xml file with the attached file. You need to unzip the file and then replace.

album.xml.zip

Please update this file. The formatting will work now.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have already asked the team to take care of this.

We frequently update our templates with latest Joomla, PHP compatiblility etc. Due to a long product lineup, it takes some time to update all templates.
