Component Articles

Hello

I was testing the component to display articles. I wanted to know if these options are available or if I need to do it with CSS.

Put the article title below the image.

Remove the introductory text, keeping the image at 100% of the column. Put the article date above the image, with some shading or colored background. And make sure the image and article links always open the article.

Thanks

.sppb-article-info-wrap {display: grid;}
.sppb-article-info-wrap > h3 {order: 3;}
.sppb-addon-articles .sppb-article-meta > time
{background: #9E2A23; border-radius: 5px; padding: 2px 4px;color: #fff !important;}
.sppb-addon-articles .sppb-article-meta
{margin: 0; margin-bottom: -50px;z-index: 100;}

Use that in Page Settings > Page CSS > Custom CSS area

Perfect, I like how it looks.

I've also removed the image link and the magnifying glass.

Can you suggest this improvement to the default component?

Thanks.

Hi there!

Thanks for your interest.

Just to be confirm, did you mean you are talking about the articles addon of SP Page Builder? May I have a screenshot with indication of what you want to achieve, please?

However, show or hide introtext option is available as follows: https://share.cleanshot.com/WwdSymZK

Best regards,

Hello

Yes, I'm attaching a screenshot of a current component that isn't part of SP Page Builder. We'd like to keep this format.

The option to hide the text also hides the image we have in the article.

We just want to hide the text... and keep the image as a thumbnail.

In that case you have 3 options:

  1. Article Addon code customization (php/html inside)
  2. Or by Custom CSS you can hide some not needed elements.
  3. Or find a News display module (not component!) that have design/behavior what you need and use it in module addon.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. I have tried to check but it is not accessible from my end. Please check the hidden content.

I saw that

we can help with image & title order, but not with deeper customization, for that more changes are needed. There is thin line between support and custom request.
