How To Copy And Paste A Section From One Page Builder Page To Another?

SP Page Builder 5 days ago

We've tried to go to a Section settings on a page and click the "Copy" button and then "Paste" it into another Page Builder page which looks to work properly. The new Section displays properly, however when we click the "Save" button we get the message: "Request failed with status code 413". Please help!

If the Copy + Paste feature isn't meant to do this between different pages, please let us know the best way to copy Sections across page.

Thank you!

Have you tried Paste to Replace? Or in emergency sometimes i use export import layout, or Save some section, then drag it where needed.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting. You can select the target section's options and choosing Paste to Replace or by simply pasting it into a new location. You can also check this link below:

Unfortunately every time I try Copy + Paste or Copy + Paste to Replace or even the Save feature (which adds it to the "Saved Items" area) and then I drag it over to the new page... when I go to Save the new page after adding that new Section... I still get that error message: "Request failed with status code 413".

The Section is just 4 columns of images but a lot of content so we really don't want to have to re-create it manually on each separate page.

Thanks!

Could you please keep a full site backup and give me your super admin access? So that I can check.

Thanks for your help. Here is the admin login (below).

FYI: the issue only happens on big sections that have a large number of elements.

Hi

Could you please try the export/import option for a large section? I have created a test page on your site and imported a page there; it seems to be working on my end. Please check it, and then you can also do your sections this way. For more help, you can review this screenshot and the documentation below.

Thanks for the suggestion. However our client wants to be able to export/import or copy/paste a section and not a whole page so it's not a real solution. It only seems to happen on really big sections with lots of content. I'll see if I can get a better test-case so you can reproduce things easier. Anyway, we're just trying to keep them from getting too frustated in using your framework. They spent hours creating custom sections and new pages and now have to redo things since that feature isn't working reliably.
