Login To SP Page BUILDER

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

Hello, when I try to use SP Page Builder for the first time, it asks me to login, no problem. After adding my credentials, it takes me to my profile instead of back to SP Page Builder where I selected Frontend editing. In this case, I now need to reopen Joomla, login and do the same thing over again, then it takes me to the frontend editor. Why is this happening? It is completely inconvenient. If I am trying to access the frontend editor, and login, it should take to the frontend editor, not profile.

Is there a setting I can adjust to remove all this unnecessary work?

Thanks

MARTIN

Hi Martin,

Why is this happening?

It's how Joomla works. You have to add Login to as menu item, and set to what subpage should be redirected.

I suggest doing that. In J! Admin: Global Configuration > System > Shared Session: Yes > Save & Close

Thanks a bunch, seems to work like a charm however, ..... now a similar thing happens where when I close SP PB, it dumps me to some random page, not the Joomla Dashboard. Is there some setting to make sure it takes me to the Dashboard for Joomla so I don't have to log back in or use a hyperlink to the dashboard?

Thanks

Martin

In general, we don't teach Joomla basics here.

Anyway, create a menu item with logout view, and set there to what menu item should be redirected after logout.

Hi Paul, thanks for your help. 100% of the extensions I buy do not require me to customize anything - it is differernt for SP PB so hence the question. Why would I need to do that when ever other extension has a logical workflow?

IMO, when I install any extension, open it and close it, it should by default always go to joomla dashboard, common sense basics..... These extra steps are unnecessary.

Login and logout part is from Joomla itself.

If you don't use front-end editor - you can disable that, and edit everything only from Joomla Admin area.

A few clicks more shouldn't tired you ;)
