SP Page Builder Pro No Longer Works After Upgrade

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

Joomshaper technical support advised me to upgrade from V3.X to V5.4.6. I have just done so but can no longer access any of our pages to edit them. The error message is:

Unhandled Runtime Error TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'current')

Please open the browser console for more information!

And console shows:

vendors.min.js?0e2c5…1478b48ba5314a03f:2 TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'current') at vendors.min.js?0e2c5…8ba5314a03f:2:38670 at vendors.min.js?0e2c5…8ba5314a03f:2:63811 at Object.useMemo (vendors.min.js?0e2c5…ba5314a03f:2:534515) at vendors.min.js?0e2c5…ba5314a03f:2:639400 at y (vendors.min.js?0e2c5…8ba5314a03f:2:63796) at vendors.min.js?0e2c5…8ba5314a03f:2:38455 at vendors.min.js?0e2c5…8ba5314a03f:2:39129 at xs (vendors.min.js?0e2c5…ba5314a03f:2:528202) at Ca (vendors.min.js?0e2c5…ba5314a03f:2:539823) at xa (vendors.min.js?0e2c5…ba5314a03f:2:539031)

    Joomla 3.10.12

This is critical as we can no longer make amendments to our site.

Hi Derek,

In general, as you can read in SPPB documenation we don't support Joomla 3.10 anymore, so you used that version of extension on your own risk >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/technical-requirements#support-limits

  1. Clear Joomla cache - then Browser cache and recheck editor.
  2. If above will not help, please ask your hosting provider to recover full site from yesterday backup. But make sure that you deleted those folders first
  • administrator\components\com_sppagebuilder
  • components\com_sppagebuilder

otherwise some too new files can stay and generate problems! Keep SPPB 3.10 by now. Is that clear?

Hi, thanks for the answer but no. Your colleague just advised me to upgrade and install which I have done - he told me which version tyo get and I have got that version.

Now it transpires even the main site is down - any pages with tabs in them are broken which is a major issue.

having spent the money as advised I need to get this up and running. Is there no better way than reinstalling from a backup?

Sorry for the wrong advice; his intentions were good. If clearing the cache didn't help, yes. Roll back!

I guess, it's yesterday, or to day when you made that update.

We cannot fix old version of extension to work on older CMS. I hope you understand that. I also recommend to upgrade CMS too. Becuase one day, a Hacker may damage whole site!
