Change The Name Of Finatic And Update Question

Template 4 years ago

Hi,

I have used the finatic Template to build a website. My client has been doing the updates himself for the last 2 years and has now asked me to make some major changes. When I wanted to make these changes, I noticed that the template had not been updated until today, as there was no indication of an update in the backend. The template is still on version 1.1.

How can it be that no information about the past updates was displayed in the backend? The licence key has been entered!

Then I noticed that the name of the template has been changed.

Now what is the best way to update the website to the latest version of the template and change the name of the template.

The blog says the following: "All of our users who are using the Finatic Joomla template on their sites are requested to change the name Finatic to Finion in order to avoid any unwanted circumstances."

....but it seems that not only a name change is necessary!

I would like a detailed description of the procedure here. Thank you!

Thanks!

Hello there,

For changing the template name, please follow the documentation here.

Secondly, for updating the template to the latest version, download the file from our website and install it manually.

Thank you!

Hi, If I follow the documentation, the template does not have to be updated manually in the future, does it?

And one question you did'nt answer: There never was an indication of an update in the backend. How can this be?

Thanks!

Hello there,

No, it will be gone after the backup. However, you can have a backup so that you can use it after the updates.

Go to Extensions > Manage > Update Sites and see the extensions are enabled or not. If not, please enable them.

Thanks!
