Helix Ultimate Template Not Updating Changes In Frontend

Happy new year everyone :)

I'm sorry for having asked this question before, however the previous solution provided at the time (toggling Advanced>SCSS>Compile SCSS to CSS) is not fixing a similar issue here, and I have tried my best to work out why this has been happing to a number of my sites lately!!

After updating both the Helix Ultimate template and SP Pagebuilder, the settings I have chosen in my template Presets (both Pre-defined and/or Custom) are not being displayed in the frontend. Also, I can alter the logo height (set to 160px), but not the header height (set to 180px, but displaying at only 80px).

I have checked with the hosting provider and there are no caching issues, I have updated the template and framework to the latest version and cleared both by browser cache and Joomla as well.

I want to understand what I'm doing wrong, so that I don't continually pester this forum and hope someone can advise me, or point me to the documentation that will help me.

Best wishes, Tony.

Hello Tony,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There was a hardcoded height in the template file, which I have now fixed. If you want to use custom styles or change the presets data, after done please enable the SCSS to CSS compiler, and save the changes, and then disable it again.

Please let me know the update.

Thanks,

You are most welcome.

To run the site, there is no need to enable the SCSS-to-CSS compiler. However, if you make any changes to the presets, you will need to compile once so that compiler generate css for this changes and then disable it again.

Hello, I think have a similar issue, latest version sof template etc. I add my logo set it's height to 90px and the header height to 120px, Save and refresh but header is defaulting to default of #sp-header 60px and #sp-header logo to 60px.

I have turned on and off SCSS option numerous times, saved and closed, cleared caches but get nothing! I have to add !important overrides in my CSS.

Also why can I not set the box shadow as an option in the template rather than a CSS change?

Thanks

Hello Lee,

Your issue is different from Tony’s, which is why you didn’t see the same results. I suspect it may be caused by hardcoded template CSS for header and logo height.

Please share your website URL with me so I can check and provide the solution.

Thanks,
