Issue Joomla 6

I had issues with an upgrade on a Joomla website from version 5.4 to 6.x. I thought the problem was with Falang (translation extension), but the developer of Falang helped me investigate and apparently there is still a Joomla 4/5 call in shaper_helixultimate. Could you please check this? Thank you. JROOT/templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/mod_falang/default_dropdown.php:50

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

After reviewing the details you shared, the issue does not appear to be caused by any core JoomShaper product or by Helix Ultimate itself. Based on the error path you mentioned, the problem originates from a module override located at:

JROOT/templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/mod_falang/default_dropdown.php

This file is a template-level override of the Falang module, not part of the default Helix Ultimate framework. Such overrides are typically added manually or by a third party to customize module output. Since this override was not created or maintained by us and the module itself does not belong to JoomShaper, it falls outside our official support scope.

To resolve the issue, we recommend one of the following actions:

  • Contact the developer or person who originally created this override and request an updated, Joomla 6–compatible version.
  • Alternatively, you may remove the override by deleting the directory: JROOT/templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/mod_falang/ This will force Joomla to fall back to the default Falang module layout.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please let us know if you need any further clarification from our side.

Kind regards

Thank you for the quick response. The developer of Falang had referred me to you, and indeed I deleted the file, which resolved the error message.
