Please accept my apologies and thanks for the screencast. It seems expected behavior. As the content is long and getting only half of the space, it gets hidden while closing. There is no default option to made it scroll less actually.

Please note that, this is not a bug, but expected behavior. What you are trying to achieve maybe achieveable with code customization. But customization support is prohibited here.
