SP Page Builder 20 hours ago

hi,

I have some questions regarding dynamic content in sp page builder.

  1. with dynamic content done with sp page builder native pages, to build a blog for instance, is it possible to add new pages from the front end instead of from backend ?

  2. is it possible to use joomla's native articles inside sp page builder for dynamic content to build a blog for instance ?

  3. same question with joomla's native custom fields, how to use them?

thanks L.

I think you should think about usage between back and front.

Hello Laurent,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

First, it’s important to clearly understand the difference between the frontend editor and the backend editor, as well as the purpose of each. This distinction should help clarify your first question regarding content creation and management.

Regarding your second question, please refer to our documentation here for detailed information on using Joomla native articles with SP Page Builder dynamic content: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/joomla-native-articles-integration

Currently, you can design your native articles archive page using dynamic content, and design the index page using SP Page Builder.

For Joomla custom fields, please check this article for an overview and usage guide: https://www.joomlashack.com/blog/tutorials/custom-fields/

Thanks,

thanks for your feedback, but this does not answer my questions.

  1. I know the difference between frontend editor and the backend editor

  2. yes i know thesr tutorials. but my question is : when the blog layout/structure is done, is it possible to add new page content to the blog from frontend editor ?

  3. I know how to use custom fields. My question is : is it possible to manage/integrate custom fields to dynamic layout done with SP page builder interface to create a blog for instance ?

Thanks for your reply.

At the moment, you cannot add new pages from the frontend editor, and dynamic content for articles does not allow managing custom fields.

Thanks.

it is a pain because this a visual editor with frontend and a impossible for contributor user to use it. backend access is required...does not make sense.

when a blog is built (technically I mean), then, classic/contributor users do not need/do not want backend access to add articles.

this is more user friendly to add articles from front-end.

i totally agree. it would be interesting to allow , through permission, specific usergroups to create new dynamic content.
