What kind of Calendar, more details please.

There is possibility to use Google Calendar inside SPPB, becuase it has Embed code that you can use in Raw HTML addon. I used that a few times.

A simplified version of JEvents would work well; something like it that is. I currently use that in another site, but don't need lots features. SPPB can already add most of what is needed.

Google Calendar embed could work as mentioned... but I'm doing all I can to stay away from being tethered to Google in any way... which is hard to do.

But it's all about needed features and views. But sure, I can ask our team next week what they think about that idea.
