Cannot Add License Key Or Google Fonts API To Pagebuilder

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

On older sites that have been upgraded from 4 to 5, to 6 etc. SP Page Builder does not allow me to enter License Key or Google Fonts API. Is there a work around for this - or some way to force adding this info? I have about 60 sites where I had to generate a new Google Fonts API Key and I can't update it,

Thanks,

Syd

Thanks for the update.

I’ve taken a backup of your site and tested it on my local PC — everything works fine with the same setup. The issue only occurs on your live site when trying to save, where the following URL shows a 404 error:

administrator/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&task=/editor.applicationSettings

This is usually caused by server-level security rules. I recommend checking with your hosting provider and asking them to review ModSecurity or firewall logs for blocked requests related to SP Page Builder. Temporarily disabling ModSecurity or whitelisting this request usually resolves the issue.

Please let me know the outcome.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

I have many sites that throw the error: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/a7iavtzcaw6f92zqep4p0/AN3kPQ1LN3Zdbxh6QV99v98?rlkey=qnhoimxsrnl68ygkgm2xjhl8h&st=7d2v58aj&dl=0

Just need a fix - giving you admin access won't help anything,

Thanks,

Syd

  1. Make sure that you updated SPPB to PRO, not Lite version.
  2. Clear Joomla and Browser cache.

Hey Paul,

Yes - I did clear browser cache and Joomla cache etc. still getting an error message - you can see it here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/a7iavtzcaw6f92zqep4p0/AN3kPQ1LN3Zdbxh6QV99v98?rlkey=qnhoimxsrnl68ygkgm2xjhl8h&st=7d2v58aj&dl=0

Like I said - many sites do this. Hopefully you have a fix for it.

Thanks,

Syd
