Media Folders Not Updating

Hi All,

I understand there is a known issue with SP PageBuilder not updating/connecting properly with the media folders of Joomla. I have never liked the automatic allocation of media storage that is the default within SPPB. [Year/Month by upload] I have my images organised within the media folders and have confirmed the route to images as Images both in Path to Files Folder and Path to Images Folder setting. However, SPPB does not reflect completely what is contained within my Media folders.
Is there a setting I have missed? Why does SPPB not reflect what is in my Media folders?

Hello Nick Cumber,

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. Please set Path to Files as Images in Media configuration. Then you will be able to browse all files from media options in SP Page Builder.

Please follow the documentation for more:

SP Page Builder Media Manager

Best regards

Hi Ofi,

As stated in my original request,(Did you not see this?) this setting is already as you described. "Path to files" IS already set to "Images", which is why I was seeking your assistance...

What else might it be?

Apology for the inconvenience. Please share your administrator access here to check the issue. Use the Hidden Content box to share the credentials. Make sure that you have a full site backup before sharing.

Hi Ofi,

Thank you for this...

I have created a superuser access as requested, details under hidden content.

I have a "Resources" folder within Media, and within that a folder named "Service Offerings". Within that folder there are a number of service offering icons, one of which, for example, is Therapist.Group Mentoring icon

If you now visit the "Services" page within SPPB, and use the Frontend editor option to now select an image. Under the "Folders" option, you will see the Resources option and the "Service Offerings" folder. The problem is that the files listed their as being in the "Service Offerings" folder are NOT the files within the actual Media folder of that name!

For example, there is a file called "Therapist.Group Mentoring icon" but it is an earlier version - its the wrong file! Also, I am unable to delete THAT file as it prompts and error: COM_SPPAGEBUILDER_MEDIA_MANAGER_MEDIA_DELET You don’t have the required permission

This is obviously very frustrating and any assistance in resolving this issue would be much appreciated...

I have added the image but could not find any issue. Please check your page.

Hi Ofi,

OK, Please read this carefully. The image you have added is NOT the image that currently resides in the Resources>Service Offerings folder. That is the 1st problem. If you visit that folder via the normal Joomla interface you will see a DIFFERENT image there which is the one I want to use.

Please compare the images in the Service offerings folder with those that SPPB shows - they are NOT the same.

The second part of this issue is my inabilitly to delete a file within SPPB as I get the ERROR message listed above.

I have added custom CSS on the page to apply border-radius: 50px to all the feature box images. Now it looks similar. I have not found any difference on the image: images/Resources/Service Offerings/Therapist.Group Mentoring icon.png

If you have uploaded the image from Joomla media options, then you can't deleter it from the SP Page Builder media manager.
