Font Not Displaying

SP Page Builder 1 month ago

SPPB Pro Version: 6.3.1

Joomla 5.4.3

Shaper_helixultimate 2.2.4

I have added my Google Fonts API key and added a new font in Font Book. The font appears there as installed, but it does not appear in the frontend page editor.

On pages I am editing on the front end, including an imported Author page bundle, the Typography preset list is blank and the Font dropdown only shows the default/system fonts. The newly added font is not available.

I need the font to appear in the dropdown and be selectable in the editor. I do not want to use custom CSS as a workaround.

I have already read the documentation and followed the documented setup.

Please advise how to make installed Font Book fonts appear in the SPPB editor dropdown.

At the moment this is far more complicated than it should be and it is not working as expected.

Hello,

Thank you for the update.

I’m glad to hear that clearing the dynamic cache on your SiteGround hosting resolved the issue and that everything is now working as expected. It does seem the problem was related to server-side caching.

If you encounter any similar issues in the future, clearing the cache is definitely a good first step.

Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.

Hi there!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

To assist you more effectively, may I kindly request temporary administrative access to your site? This will allow me to thoroughly investigate and resolve the issue for you.

Before sharing the credentials, I strongly recommend taking a complete backup of your site to ensure all data remains secure.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Hello Kajetan,

Thank you for your kind message—glad to hear you were able to locate the option.

Regarding your suggestion, we understand the convenience of having the “Interaction” tab available in the backend editor. However, there is currently a very low possibility of implementing this in the backend interface. This is because all interaction-related features are designed to be handled and processed within the frontend editor environment, where they can function and render as intended.

That said, we truly appreciate your feedback, and we will keep it in mind for any future improvements.

Best regards

@Atick I never said I found the solution, I am still lost!

Have you actually read my question?

I never mentioned the word “Interaction”, please read it again and come back to me with a sensible answer. This is related to not being able to see the font in the front end ter loading it as described you your "documentation".

Apology for the inconvenience, please ignore the earlier comment.

Please ensure that the “Disable Google Fonts” option is not enabled in your SP Page Builder settings (you can refer to this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/3j9vVVjuCndR).

If this option is already disabled and you are still experiencing the issue, kindly let us know whether you encounter any errors when attempting to add Google Fonts. This information will help us investigate the issue further.

Best regards

Yes, that option is disabled: https://ibb.co/G3CKKNCd

The font is already uploaded, as I said previously: https://ibb.co/Q7HpHywx

I simply want to be able to select this new font in the front end Addon .

Thank you for your clarification.

Yes, I can see from your earlier screenshots that the font has been successfully installed on your site.

Could you please confirm whether you encountered any errors while adding the font, or if it only showed a success message during the process? This will help us better understand where the issue might be occurring.

Best regards

No errors, it installed successfully.

Can you please confirm if what I am trying to do should be possible or am I wasting hours of my life?

Thank you for your patience.

Based on the information and screenshots you’ve provided, what you’re trying to achieve should indeed be possible. However, at this point, it’s difficult to determine the exact cause of the issue.

The common factors that typically lead to this problem do not appear to be present on your site, which makes the situation a bit unusual.

Since your site is currently hosted on a localhost environment, we are unable to access it directly for further investigation. To help us review the issue more effectively, could you please either:

  • Share a full backup of your site, or
  • Upload the site to a live or staging server and provide us with access

This will allow us to properly inspect the configuration and identify the root cause of the issue.

Best regards

Thank you for your clarification, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

You’re absolutely right—this is a very unusual behavior, as the font is working in the backend editor but not appearing in the frontend editor.

To investigate this properly, may I kindly request a full backup of your site so I can replicate the issue on my local environment? This will allow me to perform a deeper analysis and identify the root cause.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

You have my permission to take a backup using Akeeba, it's installed on my site. You can then download it via the admin area.

Please confirm if you do this.

Hello,

Apologies for the delayed response. The reason for the delay is that I set up your site on my local environment, where the fonts are loading correctly. This indicates that the issue may be server-related, which requires further discussion with our development team.

However, due to the Eid holiday, I was unable to coordinate with them earlier. As our office has now reopened, I planned to follow up with the team, but it appears that access to your site has been removed.

Could you please check and restore access so we can continue investigating the issue?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi @Atick,

Thanks for investigating. I am using Siteground hosting, I cleared their 'dynamic cache' setting on the web host and it now appears to be working!
