Collection, Function Import/export

Hi, I'm writing to inquire about the import/export function in Page Builder, in the collections section.

I haven't found any documentation that clearly explains its use. I've only managed to use it once, on a website with only one collection.

In some tests, I realized that the export function exports all collections; it doesn't allow the export of a single collection, nor does it allow for a single or multiple imports.

I'm wondering if you plan to develop this feature, because the data import function, especially from CRM, could be a very important feature.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out.

You’re absolutely right in your observations, the current import/export functionality for collections is quite limited and does not allow selective export (e.g., a single collection) or partial import.

For reference, you may check the official documentation here: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/collection-index#importing-exporting-dynamic-pages

As described there, the export process includes the entire dynamic page along with its associated collections and items, rather than individual collections.

At the moment, more granular control (such as exporting specific collections or structured imports from external sources like CRM) is not supported by default.

We understand your use case, and it’s definitely a valuable suggestion. I will forward this to the development team as a feature request.

Best regards,

hi,

i can only confirm. Please, think to you customer that cant use such fonctions, that should be basic. Once more you make it complex and that can prevent customers website to be completed by sppb functions. Look at concurrence, take their best, mix with your nice design fonction, create "test user groups" to fix / improve your components and all should be fine.
