SP Page Builder 1 month ago

I just killed EAsyBlog and i am looking for a replacement. So i checked the Sppagebuilder way of creating Index and detail pages. I created an indexpage, selected a category, created a detailpage and it basicaly worked even if i doesnt look good (yet). But how do i get more then one such combinations to work. i want to have Blogs for different categories. What am i doing wrong? Is there a tutorial that is detailed and accurate enough to guide me through that. I have seen the ones that are online but i am not that happy with the explanations.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out.

You can export your recently created article index page, then create a new SP Page Builder page and import the exported page there. After importing, you can select a different category for the collection addon.

Then, create a new menu item with the type SP Page Builder → Pages and select the newly created page. This way, you can create multiple blog pages for different categories while keeping the same layout.

Hope this helps!

Finally did it I use a "normal" page to import since i cannot have more then one Articla Indexpages..right? It seems to work that way. They way is a bit strange isnt it? Blogs for multiple categorys isnt that strange to have. BTW IS there a way to have 1 article per colum but display pictrues left from the Introtext (2 colums per Article )

Hi,

I'm glad to hear you got it working!

Yes, it may seem a bit unusual, but that's how it currently works.

Regarding the layout you're trying to achieve, could you please share a screenshot or a simple mockup of the desired result? It would also help if you could provide a bit more detail about the layout you're aiming for, especially how you'd like the image and intro text to be arranged.

We'll be happy to check whether it's possible with the available options or suggest an alternative approach.

Best regards,
