Cookie Consent On Multilingual Sites

Dear Support Team,

I can't figure out how to set up the cookie consent plugin on multilingual site. I mean changing the text showing up in the banner according to the active language of the site. I thought that using the language overrides would do the trick, but it does not.

Any hint?

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing.

SP Cookie Consent is not multilingual. It will not work for multiple languages. Please search on Joomla Extension Directory for any third-party solution.

Hi Antoine,

you have two options:

  1. Use & display both languages phrases in cookie plugin (box). Easy.
  2. Yes, install addcional cookie plugin/module that support multilingual, there are many of them on JED.

Besides, if you live in EU, your cookie box must block cookies, not only display warning message. Check local law regulations in your country.
