404 error when opening the SP Page Builder Frontend Editor with SEF URLs enabled

I get a 404 error when trying to open the SP Page Builder Frontend Editor. I expect the editor to open so I can edit my page.

My setup:

  • Joomla 6.2.0
  • SP Page Builder 6.10.0
  • Search Engine Friendly URLs enabled

How can I resolve this?

We apologize for the inconvenience.

This issue may be related to Joomla's Strict Routing setting in the System - SEF plugin. Please try disabling Strict Routing and check whether the SP Page Builder Frontend Editor works correctly.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Joomla administrator panel.
  2. Navigate to System → Plugins.
  3. Search for and open the System - SEF plugin.
  4. Locate the Strict Routing option.
  5. Set it to No (Disabled).
  6. Save and close the plugin settings.

After making this change, clear your Joomla cache and browser cache, then try opening the SP Page Builder Frontend Editor again.
