Hello -

I upgraded to Helix Ultimate 2, and now my OffCanvas menu does not work.

I prefer to use the OffCanvas menu for both desktop and mobile, but it doesn't appear on either!

I've tried everything: clearing server cache, clearing site cache, clearing browser cache, enabling font awesome, etc.

Please help!!

Site link and other details provided in the hidden content.

Hello Tad

Please use this CSS to Template Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS

#offcanvas-toggler {
    visibility: visible !important;
    top: 0 !important;
    padding: 18px 0px !important;
}

Best regards

Please clear your Joomla cache and Browser's cache and then check. If possible, then check with a different browser.

Are you seeing that in the browser's inspector, or on the live site? I have tried 4 different computers, browsers, and have cleared all cache and still do not see that.

OK so I got the hamburger (offcanvas) menu to show, but then when I clicked on it, it wasn't doing anything.

I did the following steps and it seems to have fixed it:

  1. Add this code to Template Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS (as suggested by Ofi):
    #offcanvas-toggler {
     visibility: visible !important;
     top: 0 !important;
     padding: 18px 0px !important;
    }
  2. Select "Minimal Layout" in Template Options -> Basic -> General (mine was on Classic and it was causing issues, such as the hamburger icon showing too close to logo)
  3. Disable and clear cache of any caching plugins (like JCH Optimize). If you do use JCH Optimize, then add "custom.css" to the excluded CSS files list, and add "/media/system/js/core.js" to the excluded JSfiles list.
  4. Clear site cache (System -> Clear Cache -> Delete All).
  5. Clear cache of any CDN you might use (like Cloudflare).
  6. Clear browser cache or use a browser and computer you've never had visit your site before.

Thanks! it is working for me

  1. I have checked the settings again, and clicked all the buttons which weren't active yet. eventueltly saved it.
  2. Added the CSS fix to custom code
  3. I have cleared all joomla cache inside joomla administrator portal
  4. also cleared all browser cache from chrome as wel, i tried other browsers like firefox and edge, didn't had the issue there as i nevered used it to check the site.

If we update to 2.0.1, should we delete the custom css you gave us?

In order for offcanvas menu to work after the update from 1.1.4 to 2.0, you just need to go to the offcanvas settings and select one of the layouts (even if one of them is already selected) and save. CSS is not required.

Pavel - My question just above was about updating from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1.

Pavel - My question just above was about updating from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1.

I understood this and meant that this CSS code was not needed initially. But maybe in your case there is some kind of local reason that causes the problem. You can try to delete the code and check. And return it back, if something goes wrong.

Seems the NAV solution works for me.

Updated to the latest version 2.0.1 removed the css code cleared alle cache from joomla administrator portal and also my browsers on comptuter or phone.

I still have an issue with others related to the template:,

  • The blog menu called "Nieuws" and all joomlla articles releated in that section don't have the drop down arrow in the menu anymore.
  • When you scroll down in the blog section called "Nieuws", the button up arrows seems to have no arrow anymore.
  • It apears the social media icoon's like facebook, etc.. in articles doesn't apear. just a white button. I have turned this functionality off.

Yes: i have cleared all cache from joomla and also my browser history's in all my browsers, computer and mobile. This issue seems to be releated to the blog functionality, and i have it with alle the browsers on computer and mobile.
