PageBuilder Frontend Preview With Joomla Article Integration

Hi,

In an existing site with 500+ articles, we want to use SPPB for editing specific articles (which are grouped in certain categories). In a develop copy of the site, we installed SPPB and we engaged Joomla article integration. We are able to edit the aticles in the frontend (after saving each of them once in the backend with SPPB editor). So far, so good.

Unfortunately we have this issue: we have different menus in the site, some of them have quite different template stylings and different modules. When we edit our articles in the frontend, they are always shown in the context of the same menu, which is unfortunately not the menu in which the articles belong. This is very confusing for the authors, also the modules take up space.

Would there be a way to assign a menu item to the preview? I tried but could not find it.

Kind regards, Frits

Hi Ofi,

Thanks for your reply. I understand that this is not a feature. Yet I suppose that there must be some kind of logic that defines which menu item is shown in the preview?

If I would know how this logic works, maybe I could manipulate this, e.g. by creating a hidden menu item that has the desired layout. It would be very helpful if you could help me on my way to find this out.

Kind regards,

Frits

Generally, it takes the default template menu. Yes, this could be a fix. You can assign hidden menu to the article and set template styles for that menu. Then it will show that particular template style.
