Bootstrap Issue

We have an issue with different versions of bootstrap between Helix and RS Directory of RS Joomla.

We asked them this: The gallery isn't working anymore on this page / website: https://ronaldkroezen.nl/alle-glazen/8072-hannen-07791

They answered: What you're experiencing is due to mixing multiple frameworks. RSDirectory! being designed to use the same standard framework Joomla! natively supports, this being Bootstrap 2.3.2, while your template loads Bootstrap 5 instead:

If the template doesn't use the same Bootstrap version as your Joomla! CMS, or it doesn't at least provide some compatibility declarations for this framework, there will always be such inconsistencies.

You can however try to temporarily switch to a standard Joomla! template like Protostar and you'll notice that this works properly:

In such situations it would be recommended to directly contact your template developers directly.

DO you have a solution?

Hoi,

I think it's a problem of RSJoomla, not really ours. Our HU template is modern framework, it means that use current version of Boostrap 5. Legacy is not a option.

Did you know that RsForm Pro (rsjoomla.com) allows users choose Boostrap version inside component? So if they could do this inside that extension - they can do also in others, right. Ask them for code upgrade.

Here is evidence:

Protostar - please don't compare to HU -- let's be serious, it doesn't make sense. It's 10 years old template, introduced in 2012.

Joomla! natively supports Bootstrap 2.3.2 - yes, but only Joomla 3.x. Not Joomla 4.x anymore.
