We found a reason, it was small mistake. We will update it soon, by now:

administrator/components/com_sppagebuilder/models/fields/categoryEdit.php

This file name should be categoryedit.php RENAME

Hi, Opsss, indeed - it doesn't work in J4 only. I will inform developers.

Until the next update, you have to survive without categories.

I just installed v3.8 and the issue with category has not been fixed. The category field is still a textbox and there's a default value of 0.

I informed developer already. I hope today/tomorrow we will publish update.

What is weird on his demo site, where we tested, is fully OK.
