Hi Thomas,
you forgot to read description under the field "Modal Video URL"

this is only for YouTube or Vimeo link. Not mp4 file.

Hi Paul,

it is possible to display my own video as a pop-up?

Probably now you question would be how to put mp4 video file there.
Quick guide:

  1. You have to use - Modal Content Type: Text Editor
  2. in Content Text - swicth to HTML(Code) Mode
  3. Inside please paste this HTML code (basic Html5 player):

<video src="https://www.forum2plus.de/media/attachments/widejo/wabjenje_sulska_konferenca.mp4" controls="controls" width="700" height="400"></video>

But If you can - upload to youtube/vimeo so you will safe server resources/limits.

Hi Paul,

I did it the way you described it. In the preview it is played in the frontend the jquery error occurs.

please create a separate new PAGE for testing and try again.

It works on my end without any problems. Check twice your settings, code etc.

Hi Paul,

I have now gone back to joomla 3.10.2. There it works.

Using Joomla 4.x to be honest is not yet recommended, too fresh version.
