How can I tell if a template is compatible with the layest version of the Helix framework?

I thought some templates only work with older versions of Helix?

You will notice J3/J4 mark under them. Those got joomla 4(J4) compatibility, also gets Latest Helix Ultimate compatibility too.

Moreover, it you click on the details button then you will find the framework info there as well.

So if the template is J3 only then it supports the old Helix framework only? e.g. https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates/indigo
