Sp Lms Forcing Login For Quiz?

Hello, I am building a new site for a colleague who wants a bank of test questions. When I try to test the quiz page, it is asking for a login even though the course and quiz are set to free. Advice?

Sorry, this feature does not exist. You need to login for attempting the quiz even if it is free.

is this problem fixed? I am having the same issue but even if the user logs in, they get an access denied message.
