SP Page Builder 3 years ago

I have installed the Finance Template to my site and installed the SP Page Builder. I wanted to use the template but don't see a way to import that template via the Page Templates in the SP page builder. Am I missing something?

Hello,

If you use the quickstart pack of the template then yes, you will get all the necessary components within it along with demo datas too. If you use only the temlplate pack then it will give you only a very basic freamework.

You will get the difference from here: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/helix-ultimate-2/introduction#template-vs-quickstart

If you do not want to start from the scratch then please use the quickstart pack. You will need a totally free space to use the quickstat as this pack holds the Joomla also! https://prnt.sc/22mv0m9

Best Regards

Hi there!

Actually, page templates/layout bundles and Joomla Templates are different. You will not get a Joomla Template like Finance within your Page template list of SP Page Builder. If you have installed the Finance Template already then please navigate to your Template styles and mark default the Finance template. Then all of your new pages will get the structure from the Finance template, such as header, footer... I mean outside of the component area elements will then appear from Finance template.

The following blog may help you I think: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/should-you-use-a-template-or-a-layout-bundle

Best Regards

The template documentation says it's using the SP Page Builder. If that is the case it would seem there would be a layout for the builder to import. If not why use the SPPB? Can the jumpstart be installed and then the template exported?

Didn't want to have to start from scratch.

Yes, I understand the difference between the template only vs. quickstart. I however am upgrading this client so using the quickstart will not keep my current articles, etc., so the template version was my only option.

Thanks for your feedback.
