I updated to 4.0.8 and lost the background behind the text on the slideshow addon.
It shows in the backend but not on the front end.
I've cleared cache, tried other browsers, tried incongnito mode. It doesn't help.

Edit: I was able to restore my old com_sppagebuilder folder and it is working now. That feature still needs fixed in 4.0.8 but at least I temporarily solved the issue.
Thanks John

Hi, I just installed 4.0.8 on a new joomla project and here the backgrounds also are not working. How can I solve this when I do not have an old folder to restore?
But its also showing frontend on my end. Please check
Was this ever fixed? I'm still on 4.0.7 becasue 4.0.8 had this issue. I don't want to upgrade to 4.0.10 until I know this issue is fixed.
Could you please explain your issue a bit more? Your background is showing like this on my end.
It is working because I am using 4.0.7. If you are looking at my website, it will be working correctly. When I tried to update to 4.0.8 the semi transparent black background behind the text went away on the front end. I had to go back to 4.0.7 to get that background back. I want to upgrade to the lastest version but I want to make sure this bug is fixed before I do so.
I have several forms. These are extensions from RS-Joomla (RS-Form-Pro). All pages with the forms lost their background as well.
Why is this happening all over the place on so many sites ? There is definitely something wrong with the HELIX template. This template is causing endless issues.
No, it's not fixed in 4.0.10. I have the same kind of problem

Ok I will inform our team but in the meanwhile I can solve it via custom CSS. For this I need that problamatic page link.
I updated to 4.0.10 and the background behind the text on slides is working for me now. It looks like there are other people in this forum who have other issues but it seems you all fixed my issue in one of the last two updates.
Thanks
