off canvas menu & general loading speed in WAYNE template

  1. I'd like the submenu items to be displayed as "all open" by default in the offcanvas. However, I can't find this option in the CSS. The problem is that the arrow for opening the submenus is positioned far too close to the parent menu item. This often leads to accidental clicks. I'd like all the submenus to be displayed immediately.

  2. I'd also like to place the logo at the top (where space seems to be allocated). Unfortunately, the "mobile Logo" template option doesn't seem to handle SVG files well.

  3. In general, the pages load rather slowly. Are there any other options to optimize loading times?

  4. On some SP Pagebuilder pages, I still have Arabic and French language options included in the links. Do I need to create entirely new pages to fix this?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Let me address your points one by one:

  1. By default, Helix Ultimate does not provide an option to keep all submenu items expanded in the offcanvas menu.

However, this can be achieved with custom JavaScript/CSS by forcing all submenu <ul> elements to be visible and disabling the toggle behavior. If you’d like, I can provide a small script for this.

Regarding the arrow being too close to the parent item — this can be adjusted via custom CSS by increasing spacing or repositioning the toggle icon.

  1. Logo at the top (mobile/offcanvas)

The offcanvas area does support a logo, but SVG rendering issues can occur depending on how the SVG is structured.

You can try:

  • Using an optimized SVG (without inline styles/scripts)
  • Or converting it to PNG as a fallback

Alternatively, placing the logo manually in the offcanvas via a custom layout/override is also possible.

  1. Slow loading pages

Blog posts from us:

  1. Language issues (Arabic/French links)

This usually happens when:

  • Multilingual associations or menu items are still linked to old language content
  • SP Page Builder links were copied from previously multilingual pages

You do not necessarily need to recreate pages, but you should:

  • Check menu item associations (Joomla multilingual setup)
  • Update links inside SP Page Builder manually
  • Ensure correct language is assigned to each page/menu item
