SP Page Builder Articles Addon – Article Titles Missing After Update

Hi,

After updating SP Page Builder, we noticed an issue with the Articles addon.

On the following page:
https://www.emogy.nl/vacatures/

The article titles are no longer displayed. When inspecting the HTML, the generated heading looks like this:

<h3><a href="/vacatures/junior-front-end-developer/" itemprop="url"></a></h3>

As you can see, the <a> element is empty and does not contain the article title. The link is generated correctly, but the title text is missing.

Could you please investigate whether this is a bug introduced in the latest update and advise on a solution?

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Hi,

I found the issue — it was caused by a custom field you created called "Quotes." When it was set up, the internal "Name" was accidentally set to title, which is a reserved core field name. This caused it to silently overwrite the actual article title wherever SP Page Builder pulled article data.

I've renamed the field's internal name and confirmed the issue is now resolved.
