MainMenu Position Disappeared?

Helix Framework 3 years ago

I am migrating a website (www.zorgboerderijwillemshoeve.nl/index.php) from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4.

Because it is a small site, I decided to rebuild the whole site in Joomla4 on Xampp. With SP Page Builder en Helix Ultimate that turns out to be quite easy.

I have one problem though.

In the live site I have the Main Menu assigned to position "Mainmenu". But now with Joomla 4 I do not have that position anymore! I only have the positions "Menu" and "Menu modal". The Helix version I am using on the Joomla4 site, I downloaded yesterday.

Any idea where I am making an error? I cannot imagine that you removed a position from the template.

Hello H

Apology for the inconvenience. I have checked Helix 1.1.4 (the latest version for Helix 1) but no such position is found. I have checked all positions in both Helix versions. We did not remove any postion. Instead, we have added a new positon menu-modal. So, mainmenu position might be added on your site by you or developer. Please check it again.

Best regards

Hi,

In helix based templates, we don't use "Mainmenu", instead we have "menu". So nothing disappeared. But you don't have to publish there any module. Just make sure that:

  1. You have chosen premade header
  2. Or if you decided to create your own header there is logo and menu position.

Actually I found out I don't even need a menu module because every page I use is being made in SP PageBuilder.

Is it possible that this "mainmenu" position was created by anoterh plugin I use? I have insatlled a plugin "Maximenu CK" that I have decided not to use and unpublished. But in the modules list, it also occupies the same position "Mainmenu".
