Menu Link To The Last Item Of A Timeline

A timeline represents something from the past to the actual state or in the future. I want to implement a menu link to the last item in a timeline (in my case the actual state). Any idea how to do ?

Hi there,

Thanks for your query. Are you talking about the timeline addon?

Actually, if you want to link a section of the same page, you may follow this:

  1. Give ROW/Section name in field: Section ID

For example: testSectionName

Remember no # or space between, only "-" if you really need to

  1. In menu item > External URL type > #testSectionName

If you want to link a section of a different page, you have to try using the whole URL with http(s),

For example: https://domain-name.com/#testSectionName

Hope this helps!

Best Regards

Hi,

Joomla doesn't have such feature, only by using manual order (move up-down) you can set menu items from the oldest.

Only modules (some of them) have order options.

Hi Rashida, hi Paul,

thanks for your quick responses. The trick with the Section-ID I've read already in the forum. But this I could not adopt to an item IN the timeline addon.

Let me decribe it more precise.

I have one page (under construction) with the timeline addon. In the timeline I have 10 items (increasing from time to time). I want to add in the menu am item with a link or a "go down" button or whatever, that "jumps" to the last item in the timeline so a user does not have to scroll down to the end. (In my case he jumps to the actual state).
