All My Backgrounds have Gone Pink!

Hi, I'm really hoping you can help, and before I start I want to explain I'm not a developer or coder, I'm a small business owner who has followed the tutorials to build a website so my tech knowledge/understanding is limited but I can follow clear instructions in non tech language so please be kind!

All of my backgrounds across all the pages on my website have turned a pink/red colour instead of being white. I've double checked the presets, body, background colour which is set to white #ffffff so that isn't the problem.

I use Siteground for my hosting and they are using PHP 7.4 so I manually changed to a higher version but that didn't change anything so I've gone back to PHP 7.4.28

When I do a show page source on my home page there are two errors returning a 404 could these be the problem? https://www.confidentdrivers.co.uk/templates/shaper_helixultimate/css/bootstrap.min.css.map https://www.confidentdrivers.co.uk/templates/shaper_helixultimate/js/bootstrap.bundle.min.js.map

Or has anyone else experienced anything similar or have any ideas (with step by step instructions for a non techy)

Website is www.confidentdrivers.co.uk Template is Shaper Helix Ultimate 2.0.7 Joomla 3.10.0

Thanks if advance! Tracey

Hi

Do you want to change this RED color?

https://prnt.sc/nnEfZ_G9fkLb

Then Use this custom CSS and use the color code which you want to set here.

#sp-top-bar {
    background: #0dc5ce !important;
}

This evening I have updated to Joomla 3.10.6 to check that wasn't the problem which hasn't helped.

When I switched templates to Protostar to see what happens, the background is white again so I'm guessing it is something to do with the 404 errors above?

Obviously I've gone back to Helix as my template so you can see and resolve the issue.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can try other than switch templates!

Thanks. Tracey

Hi, any further suggestions on this? My website looks dreadful with this pink background, making it a horrible user experience for my customers. The site is showing additional 404 errors this morning connected to the template.

Should I uninstall and reinstall Helix?

Thanks. Tracey

Hi

Sorry for the delay. Please use this custom CSS

body, .sp-preloader{
    background-color: white !important;
}

Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.

Yay, brilliant thank you!

That has corrected the body background cover. Above the main body, (and above the main menu) there is a section which has been left bright red. Is there another custom css trick to correct that section too?

Yes possible, It would be very kind of you if you give me a screenshot of that. It helps me to find out the issue portion easily.

Great thank you!

I suppose the only thing that is niggling in the back of my mind is that these codings are great for making the site look the way I want, however they aren't actually solving why the red appeared in the first place?

Both the background and the top bar had colour settings and then there must have been some sort of conflict that made everything go red. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly grateful for the codings to give me a quick resolution, but of course I know that they are a sticky plaster over the top of a problem we havent solved.

Fingers crossed that doesnt come back to haunt me later, and hopefully will be resolved when I migrate to joomla 4.

Thanks again for your help.
