SP Page Builder Not Saving New Pages

SP Page Builder 3 years ago

SPPB when saving a new page seems to run and shows the process running "page succesfully saved" in bright green but nothing is actually saved once exiting the new page.

I have followed the notes found here: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3/troubleshooting

However this refers to a different matter, being that the save button does not work. Mine does, just nothing saved.

Please can i have some assitance.

Thank you

Okay, I am explaining. I do not know the reasons but the issue was in the database. The database tables used for SP Page Builder has a unique ID column which value is auto incremented when you add anything new. For example, if you add a page, the id will be current id + 1. That option was turned off on your database. I have fixed the database and then took a backup.

As I am not sure about the hosting provider, I cannot say anything about it.

I've had this problem too - you need to save the page - then open it while it is blank - save it one more time, and now it's ready to store your content (if it's the same problem I have at least)

Hello hillary_hedgehog

Apology for the inconvenience. Please lower the Database version. I assume that MySQL 8 could be the issue.

Best regards

Hi Ofi,

In light of the persistent issues I have been having with MySQL 8 I have changed my hosting provider. My new host is using MySQL 10.3.34-MariaDB-cll-lve .

What concerns me most is the issue of this ticket has NOT gone away.

it seems i am within the requirements of SPPB as discussed here https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3/basic-information-requirements

Please can I have assistance with this?

Thank you

I took a backup and have fixed the issue on my localhost. Please download the backup (in the hidden content) and install on your server. Hopefully, it will work this time. It is an Akeeba Backup. Follow this tutorial to install.

Thank you Ofi. it would be really great to understand what the issue was if at all possible?

Also, ultimately, was it necessary to change who I am hosting with to have the issue fixed?
