Link To Anchor From Submenu Don't Work When Clicking From Another Page

Hello,

I have added submenus items that are linked to anchor in the same page. The parent page of the submenu items is called "prestation" so if I am on the "prestation" page, clicking on the submenu items does scroll to the designated places in the page (anchor). But if I am on another page, for exemple "Accueil" (home) page try to click on Prestations/Quand intervenons-nous submenu item, the link doesn't work.

The submenu item is configured as an "URL" one and I indicated the full page acces : "https://pediadom.encretpixel.ch/nos-prestations#quand"

As copy and pasting this url in the browser this seems to be fine, but for some reason clicking on the submenu item link doesn't lead anywhere if clicked from another page of the site.

The url of the site is : https://pediadom.encretpixel.ch

Can you let me know what would be the solution to make those submenu items work ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. Helix Ultimate is not One page based Template. If you need onepage based template you need do it yourself or you can choose one page template from template page.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer, I am a bit surprised as I didn't make up the one page feature on my own on Helix template, I just followed this tutorial coming from your website : https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/how-to-build-onepage-layout-using-sp-page-builder so it means Helix can be used as a one page templat.

In fact the problem seems to come when I try to implement the smooth scrolling, the CSS "scroll-behavior: smooth;" doesn't seem to be effective. And using javascript from w3schools.com (https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_smooth_scroll.asp) seems to cause the problem of submenu links not working from other pages. Do you have a javascript for smooth scrolling that is compatible with Helix ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Manes,

I think I have suggestions for you:

  1. QLSmoothScroll - free German plugin (ql.de)
  2. Smooth Scroll Plugin - from joomext.ru

You should be able to find them on Joomla Extension Directory (JED) If not, I have them. But they are for J3.10, but can be converted to J4. There are more, but I know that those two works for sure.
