I would like to place an embed pdf accessible on my website. Do you have experience with this or a solution for this? Could you advise me is your template accessible ready

About template - in general yes, maybe only small corrections are needed. But for sure, the upcoming Helix Ultimate 2.0 would be even more WCAG friendly.

Hoi, To be clear: Accessibility=/=accessible

Those are two different but quite similar topics. In general If you want to use PDF inside website you need extra article or page that include text version of this PDF. I know ... extra hard work, but believe me, this solution can save you from being sued by a "stubborn/ambitious" lawyer representing his client. Remember about WCAG regulations in your country.

So how it may look like (or should be):

  1. You add PDF as file that can be downloaded or previewed by browser (most can do this by default)
  2. After download link you put "Text version" which is linked to article that include whole content from your PDF, it doesn't have to be 1:1, just raw text with the most important images/graphics with ALT of course.

Example:

Download Price List (pdf file) | Price List (Text version)
