Field From Email, addon Form Builder

Asked by JBL 4 years ago Last activity 4 years ago

Hi,

Is it possible to use the value from the form email field to fill the field "From Email".
Like {{email}} ?
For example, we can use any fields to fill the "Email Subject" field.
Why can't I use the {{email}} code in the field "From Email" ?
When I try with {{email}}, the form doesn't send the email, if I let empty or I write a real address, the form send the values.

I'm using Joomla 4.1.3 and SP Page Builder Pro v3.8.6.
With Joomla 3, I could use {{email}} in the field "From Email".

Best regards.

Hello there

Please take our sincere apology. This is not possible. You have to write a proper email address.

Thank you for reply

The form

On this screenshot, you will see the field name of the email field.

And on this screenshot, you will see what I want for the From Email field

With Joomla 3, I could used the field name "e-mail" in the From Email, like {{prenom}} {{nom}} {{e-mail}}.
After the migration to Joomla 4.1.3, if I write {{prenom}} {{nom}} {{e-mail}} in the Form Field, the form doen't send the email. If I write a "real" address, like [email protected], the form send the email.

This week, I migrate 3 sites to Joomla 4.1.3 (build with SP Page Builder Pro), no one accepts the {{...}} write anymore in the From Email.

Best regards.

Thank you for your reply.

It's a pity that this feature is gone.

The strange thing is that it seems to be related to Joomla 3.
With Joomla 3, it works and no more with Joomla 4.

Have a good day.
