How To Make SP Medical Departments Displays Content By Language

Hi

I have created different departments (into SP Medical Departments component) using different languages. I need to display them in a multi-language frontend, in order to render italian departments (when I'm in IT) and english departments (when I'm in EN).

Now there is no filtering by language and on frontend I see all the departments whatever language is active.

Nice to hear that :) I need to update the module asap, to check it can I simply search for updates on Joomla backend? Or you can share directly a package here in order to spent less time? Thanks :D

Ok now it worsk! There is only a little issue, inside URL the "$item->url" inside the default.php mod_spmedical_services print directly "services" into url. I also need to translate "services"; there is a best way to do that? Otherwise I was thinking about a "$item->url" value string replace. Let me know! And many thanks!

I need to manage that "service" alias part. Because I have a menu that is called "Services" in english but is translated in other languages such as italian ("Servizi"). Actually in every language I have "services" so the link are pointing to the wrong url.

Please follow this guideline first to make complete multilingual site using Joomla.

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/step-by-step-tutorial-for-creating-a-multilingual-joomla-site

I have done something. Now you need to create menu items for each langauge or if you have already then you have to move it their own language under. Thanks

Hello,

I have exactly the same need to use the SP Medical Departments display modules in a multilingual situation. Would it be possible to share the solution?

Or, as this thread is over a year old, to release an update to the component with multi-language support, so that everyone can benefit?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

My questions don't seem to be getting much response... :-/

Would it be possible to know how to translate the SEF urls generated by the SP Medical component for the 'SP medical Specialists' and 'SP medical Departments' menu links? The alias used for translation is applied for the main link, but the sub-pages remain as /fr/doctors/item or fr/departments/item... Is it possible to translate the words ‘doctors’ and ‘departments’ in the sef urls?

Thank you!

Hi Toufiq,

I finally managed to fix the problem myself; this translation problem that appeared in the menu subpages was due to the fact that the original links in the main menu (in English) were set to all languages, not just English...

I'm not sure why it worked for the main pages and not for the sub-pages, but once the language was set to English, everything went back to normal in the other language menus and my translated alias were taken into account for sub-pages too.

Anyway, problem solved, thanks.
