Hello,

Does anyone know how to combine or integrate the Joomla Smart Search field with the default “Search” field found on the top right frontend of the main menu? I cannot find the source of the latter in the administrator backend template of the Helix Ultimate Framework nor on the SP Page Builder. By the way, I was trying to respond to one of the questions in this forum with my similar problem but with suggestion on how to install the Smart Search field but there is no option to respond and/or make a suggestion/comment to another's post in this Forum. Thanks.

Hello

Thank you for your query.

If you want to integrate the Joomla Smart search, could you kindly check out our blog link below on that?

Hi Ariba,

I followed this link above that is why I was able to install my Joomla! "Smart Search." But it does not explain how to uninstall one search field or integrate two (2) search fields in my frontend into one. I have have now two "Search" fields on my frontend of ulatime.jgli.net. I want to uninstall the "Search" field on the menu on the frontend but I have no idea how to find this in my backend. I cannot find it in the Main menu nor in the SP Page Builder so i cannot just delete it or merge it with my second Search field on the frontend. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Larj

Hi Ariba,

The link you provided me, https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/joomla-search-explained, is not very responsive to my query because the default "Search" field embedded in Helix Ultimate Template that appears on the Menu on the frontend of my Joomla! 3.9.10 website. I cannot locate it in the "index.php" of the said Template which only the Helix Ultimate Template developer can locate and edit or delete as it is not functioning as as a search field. Thank you.
