Slow Loading With SP Page Builder

Hi there, how are you? I´ve just run a speed test on my page and it was notably slower when I activated the SP Page Builder. Without the extension it had a load speed of 100% but when it had the Page builder activated it was around 65%. Why could it be? How can I prevent this from happening? Thanks!

Hi there! Yes, I've worked on those recomendations before. To make it short. I've started a tests site from scratch, just to test conflicts and slow performance with templates, extensions and plugins I normally used. Used Helix ultimate to test with sample content from Joomla 4 Works fine, with excelent results in page speed performance, until I've imported one of the sample pages from page builder. The performance dropped significantly. I've installed the pro version of JHC and after configure it, I managed to improve, but not enough. So the question is: is there other way to I improve the page load on pages created with pagebuilder?

Thank you!

If I may..

You need to make deep website audit to check what elements slows you down, and check if it's possible to disable them or reduce numer of them. In many cases, people use too many Google fonts, too heavy images etc.

In general every extra extension (component/module/plugin) always will shown down the site, it doesn't matter if we talk about Joomla or Wordpress. Like extra fluffy person in the car. Of course you can check also SPPB options, maybe you can disable some not used elements.

Check if your server is using LiteSpeed - if yes, you can use free LSCache Plugin. It may help a little bit as well. Contact with Hosting support ask them for extra tips, maybe your cPanel have more hidden "speed" features.

My tech guy says broadband ISPs will negotiate their speed down when they experience difficulty or heavy loads, and don't always renegotiate back up. I was having difficulty this morning on a small SPPB build, experiencing 5 second page loads. So I renogotiated the broadband speed myself - I restarted the modem. Stupid, huh? But page loads instantly became instant.
