Adding Watermark In Gallery Addon

Dear all,

I would like to automatically add a .png watermark to the thumbnail images shown in the gallery addon. Is there any way of doing it?

I agree, it would be helpful. Now it request using extra css to add hover effect or "zoom" icon.

Automatically - not from SPPB itself.

Idea which I used few times:

  1. Download all "big" images used in gallery addon (use FTP tool)

  2. Use tool (or online tool) to add watermark to all uploaded images, for example, you can use: https://watermarkly.com/ OR https://www.visualwatermark.com/

  3. Download watermarked image files

  4. Use FTP tool again and upload file to server (replace images!)

  5. Clear Joomla and Browser cache to see watermarket images in gallery

  6. It should take you not more than 9min total

BTW

Batch Watermarking is also posible in Adobe Photoshop (If you have it).

Dear Ofi and Paul, thanks for your swift reply and the website suggestions! Kind regards Lukas

PS: For a future update of the gallery addon, it would be great to include the option to display some kind of symbol on/above/below the thumbnails which suggests that you can enlarge the images by clicking on them. I for one think this is obvious, but some of my website users told me that it took them time to realize this. Of couse I could put "Click on the images to enlarge" as a title, but this is simply not as nice ;)
