Articles (Categories And URL)?

So I'm kinda new to all of this and I'm kinda confused and can't find any answer so I thought I ask here.

  1. Is it possible if I add a new column on a page and add the article addon on it that I can choose that it only uses articles from a specific category? I know this existed in earlier versions but I can't find a way to do it in PB4 :/

  2. If I create a new article and open it from "domain.com/news" it will switch to this url "domain.com/component/content/article/news-article?catid=32&Itemid=112" so how the hell can I remove it so that the URL is only "domain.com/news/news-article"? (And it should not be under home because I can see that it's somehow under the home menu which I don't want).

Hi there!

Thanks for contacting us.

  1. Please click on the articles addon, then you will get some settings icons under the addon. Click on the first icon, you will get the related options there as follows:

Here is the related documentation: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-4/articles

  1. It's not a SPPB issue, and never was. To get short aliases (links) you have to add that category to menu as menu item (type blog) - yes, you can hide that menu item. It's how Joomla works with articles and extensions also modules that uses it.

You may check this for better URL also: https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/making-joomla-site-seo-friendly-by-removing-id-from-urls

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
