Mamp + Quickstart Floox --> Installation Error

Hello, installing MAMP local and original joomla4 and then the naked template works. But it doesn't when using the Quickstart. My steps:

  1. installing MAMP
  2. Choose PHP 8xxx
  3. Depack the Floox quickstart and rename the folder to joomla
  4. In programs/mamp open the htdocs and put in the joomla folder
  5. in Mamp.app start Apache. Running.
  6. localhost:8888/joomla starts the set up process
  7. website name and user set
  8. Database configuration: MySQL, localhost, root, root, joomla_db, prefix as suggested, encryption standard

Then I get something like "The safety code did'nt fit ..."

What's wrong?

STOP! Tried it with Shaper_Wayne. Didn't work either. After an hour I opened the homepage again and it worked. If I were in medicine business, I'd say: spontaneous remission. Regards Jürgen

Thanks for letting us know and we are glad that it worked. Maybe that was a temporary problem with the device. But just informing you that Floox template is not compatible with PHP 8.

... Floox template is not compatible with PHP 8. ... That was the problem, I think. Any other tempates not compatible with PHP 8?

Helix Ultimate is compatible with PHP 8. Other templates will be compatible too. You will get it soon.
