Offcanvas Submenu Not Working

I'm using Joomla 4, Gourmand template. My offcanvas menu is not functioning properly. I am unable to select submenus. The offcanvas submenu links work on desktops but not for phones or ipads.

I am not sure what I am not doing correctly. Hopefully it is something that can be resolved. Any help would be appreciated.

In Menu module published in "offcanvas" position, check if you set to show also submenu items !
