Feature Box

Hello, I am required to have our website ADA compliant and have the following issue:

Requirement: Links should include text that is setting expectations to what page they are leading to. If empty links are used as layout wrapping elements, a screen-reader only text or an "aria-label" attribute should be used for that description.

Code snapshots of some failed elements <a href="/index.php/forms" ><span class="sppb-icon-container" aria-label="OnlineForms"><i class="fas fa-file-pdf" aria-hidden="true"></i></span></a>

The feature box is causing this issue and needs to have an alt text setting. Can you please assist? Thanks!

Hi there, Exactly same feature doesn't have into the Feature box addon. If you are able to write code then you can use the Raw HTML addon. Thanks

Hi, yes, as Toufiq said, in general you have 3 options by now:

  1. Join forces with user: https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/1858 - where we discussed the changes that need to be made.
  2. OR, use RAW HTML addon where you would add icon and text and link around. This is not a article so made ones won't be updated for a long time. So you don't have to be worry.
  3. Use link only for title inside Feature box.

Gentlemen, Thank you for your replies.

I replied to Paul in my other post stating the following: *Paul, As always, thank you very much for your answer. I found a free Joomla plugin that works wonders and can be found here - https://www.equalweb.com/html5/?id=10842&did=1116&G=10842.

Retake a look at the website, and you will see the icon to the right with ADA functionalities - http://whartonpolice.com/*

In my projects I used both equalweb.com and UserWay.org - they're probably the most popular accessibility solutions for webmasters - they add extra features, but they do not fix all the problems.
