if somehow you think it's from our template please RENAME that folder \html\com_users\registration

that is inside Template folder, then Joomla default Registration code should will be used.

2nd, use Firewall that will lock Russian, India traffic.

3rd, Joomla allows you lock registration from selected domains, use this Joomla core feature, from Users > Options. Check from which domains you had most of spam, for example *.ru

Thanks Paul for the reply. We will try to apply the recommendations. For blocking email domains, unfortunately there are few .ru, they often use gmail and outook that we cannot block.

So block/ban everything you can. Check which email domians return as spam wave.

Extra 4nd tip: Add to registration form extra field required, preferably of the Select type, not Input.

Hi Paul, we have experimented with the various solutions proposed to prevent spam in VirtueMart user registrations, but we have not solved anything. The bots have passed the required select fields; Users > Options email domain filter doesn't work in VirtueMart form, I also tested in clean installation of Virtuemart. I go back to the initial question: which spam prevention plug-in have you verified is compatible with Megadeal II (VirtueMart) and SP Page Builder Pro?

I suggest to ask on VirtueMart forum if you want to get a free advice.

2. Use ReCaptcha plugin for Registation as well.

sorry didn´t change anything though I have disabled every field but TOS -> mandatory
