Tabs Addon - Choosing 'active' Tab

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Hi, In Tabs Addon, how can I set the 'active' tab? Any Tabs page created, always defaults to the 1st tab. (I want a menu item to point to a Tabs Page and land on my chosen Tab, not the 1st one by default). I have a specific order of tabs to stick to, so putting the one I want to land on as 1st is not a work-around.

Thank you.

Hi Randall,

Same page means, if you want to link to a section of the same page as your menu item. If you want to link to a section of different page.

For example: home menu links with the home page's section, or home menu links to a different(about) page's section. The same can be done with button too instead menu item.

Moreover, OnePage is a single page design, where each main menu item links to a different section of that page, so once you clicked on a menu item it scrolled to that specific section, but not redirect to any other page or window.

Would you please give us your admin access to check the issue for you?

Best Regards

Hi there!

Thanks for contacting us.

Actually, there is no default option to aachive that. The tab addon always opens the first tab. You can point your menu items to a specific section but not specific tab item.

Note: customization support is prohibited here.

Best Regards

If I may...

A new features (like this) will be added only to SPPB 4.0.x not to SPPB 3.x. Your request was added to wish-list.

OK, I understand.

  • Rashida, (I asked before) how do you point a menu item to a specific Section?, as you mention. In Joomla menu, I only see the option to point an item to > SP Builder > Pages (or SP Portfolio).

  • Paul, I'm on SPPB 3 because I noticed SPPB 4 is not stable (reliable), so I'll wait for stable updates and those new features, like this one I'm requesting, and backend editing..

Thank you Rashida & Paul for your answers.

Hi,

You're welcome:)

If you want to link a section of the same page, you may follow this:

  1. Give ROW/Section name in field: Section ID

For example: testSectionName

Remember no # or space between, only "-" if you really need to

  1. In menu item > External URL type > #testSectionName

If you want to link a section of a different page, you have to try using the whole URL with http(s), for example:

https://domain-name.com/#testSectionName

Hope this helps!

Best Regards

Hi.. I cannot get it to work. What I've done:

1 - In ROW Options: General > section ID: MyCustomName 2 - In Joomla menu Item Type: URL > link: #MyCostumName (I also tried the whole https:// my-domain dot com/#MyCostumName) Nothing happens!!

What do you mean 'same page' and 'different page'?
