Can i have an update please?

Reinstall template package - it should help.

Fresh install. Twice as you have suggested. I still get this error, after following your explicit directions in documentation. Default Layout file is not exists! Please goto to template manager and create a new layout first.

Is there a resolution to this issue?

In my setup, all I did was installed the template package to an existing joomla site. PHP 8.1 and Joomla 5.0.1

Suggestions to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

In general it's very rare issue, and that's why there is no magic fix for that. // Joomla 5.0.2 is the most current.

1. What template (full name) did you install?
2. Do you have access to Template Options from template? If yes, from our website download also Template settings and import that file from Template Options > Advanced > Import & Export tab

My template is the Gazette template.

Template Options is not there when I open the template page. It is there when I show the list of templates in Template manager, but goes away when I select this template.

To see Template Options you have to click on template name first.
