Can't Allow Certain Admins To Edit Certain Pages

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

I want to restrict editing privelages for certain admin users. I set a user to the Author Access/Group Level in Joomla User Permissions ACL.

I then went into PhpMyadmin to change the created_by field to the new user's ID # which that user has author access/group level.

When I log in as the admin user with author editing access, they can get the SP page builder editor to load on front end, but when you hit save or close, it throws a 404 error and doesn't save anything.

Thanks

Toufiq,

Thanks for the video. Kind of hard to follow as there is no audio. Where in page buidler can I assign the author? Your video wenty over a lot of stuff and a little confusing especially without audio.

All I want is to make it so a Author User or some sort of Admin User can login via front end and edit this page via the front end editor and not allow the Author user to edit any other pages. https://www.continentalcountryclub.com/golf1/course-details/golf-specials

I created a group called Golf Editor but having a hard time with the permissions and how to assign a Sp Page Builder Page to an Author so they can self edit that page.

Thanks

Re-arranged the permission. Please check now this user and let me know.

Toufiq, Thanks for working on this. I am still getting a 404 error message after I open the front end editor and I can edit the page with user: testbay, but when I hit save, I get the 404 error message.

I have included a screen share video in the hidden area.

I am trying to make it so just the user: testbay can only edit the "Golf Specials" page via the front end. I can edit it, but it won't save.

Thanks Bay

Toufiq, this still doesn't solve the issue. I added some hidden content below.

Thanks

Toufiq,

I see the user: testbay can edit the golf specials page, but that same user can edit any other page. That is the problem. We only want the user: testbay to only be able to edit the golf specials page.

Your solution allows for user: testbay to edit all the pages which is what we don't want.

Hidden is a screen video below.

Thanks

Right now this feature/functionality is not available.
