SP Pagebuilder Update From 3.8.10 To 5.1.2 - Error Duplicate Column Name 'catid'

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Hi, I tried to Update SP Page Builder from 3.8.10 to 5.1.2, then the error Duplicate column name 'catid' occours, the admin page was broken.

After restoring site, I tryed to uninstall SPPB 3.8.10 to do a complete new install. But after uninstalling 3.8.10 I wasn't able to login to the admin panel again. Something big must be broken...

I restored the site again to try more solutions; I asked your "ask a question": It said to go to phpmyadmin, searching table "sppagebuilder_pages" and delete "catid". I did not found a table "sppagebuilder_pages", only a table "sppagebuilder", where I found the column "catid". So I droped this colum.

After that I tryed to update again, but then next error occours "Duplicate column name 'ordering'" (I repeated deleting named colums, but always the next duplicate error occours.

I restored the site again, tryed again to update (hope dies at last), with the same error. After the installation error, when I want to go to "system" in joomla backend, allways the error " 0 Failed opening required '/home/%/public_html/web/staging/components/com_sppagebuilder/builder/classes/base.php' (include_path='.') occours...

What can I do? V 3.8.10 works basically ok, but I would like to update to V5 Regards Heinz

Hi there,

I appreciate you reaching out. I sincerely apologize for this oversight. Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access & FTP access to check the issue? I will check & get back to you soon.

-Thanks

Hi Toufiq

I made you the accounts - see hidden content. I hope you can fix the problem. I made another test: after trying to update sppb to V5 (with error) the "manage extensions" in admin-backend is broken. I after that reinstalled (install extensions) the old version 3.8.10. This produces also an error message, but after that, the "manage extensions" was working again...

If you cannot fix the problem, perhaps you can tell me how to remove sppb manually?

Regards Heinz

After uninstall current page builder. Can't login your website.

You do not have access to the Administrator section of this site.

You have been downgrade from the Page Builder 4 to 3 (Which is not supported). Then you have tried to install Page Builder 5. Do you have backup of when it was page builder 4? Thanks

Hi Toufiq I just restored the staging site per oneclick (Softacolous). It is online again for you.

As I wrote in my initial-description: After restoring site, I tryed to uninstall SPPB 3.8.10 to do a complete new install. But after uninstalling 3.8.10 I wasn't able to login to the admin panel again. Something big must be broken... It is now happend to you too...

Basically this website is a Quickstart-Installation of FLEX template (by aplikko - themeforest). This was sppb upgrade until. 3.8.10 without problems. Problems started now by trying to update to sppb5.

Is there any way to uninstall manually (Database-Tables, directories...) ? Otherwise I have to completely rebuild the Site...

Regards Heinz

under this site you have installed page builder 4 then you have installed 3. After that, you try to uninstall. That's why occurred the problem. There is no way to downgrade from Page Builder 4 to 3.

Hi Toufiq

No, I haven't. But it must have been done by the author of Flex Template (Aplikko) when (or before) creating the Quickstart Package of his template I used.

Such a crap! I will have to rebuild the site with a new basic installation of Joomla. Luckily I can export the SPPB page and re-import it on the new site.

No way to manually remove SPPB?

Export your pages from everywhere then delete the page builder tables & uninstall page builder. Then install only the fresh version of page builder 5.
