Sorry, there was a problem we could not recover from.
The server returned a "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong."

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry Helix Ultimate is not compatible with Joomla 5 yet. It is highly recommended not to upgrade it before it's ready for Joomla 5.

When do you plan to release a version compatible with Joomla5?

It works with Joomla 4.4 and I suggest to wait a few days more. This version would be supported for next months.
Using Joomla 5.0.0 for production site is like race in "The Fast and the Furious" movie.

I upgraded from 4.3.xx to 4.4.0 and it gave this same error. I then thought I could install Joomla 5.0.0 and try it and the same happened. I have two new websites to design now. Can you give us a timeframe when we can expect Helix Ultimate to work again?

I have now removed the entire site, created a new cPanel development space, installed J4.4.0 and Helix 2.12 - and THAT works! :-)
Now I must remember NOT to update Helix to the latest versions because they are not compatible with J4.4.x and J5.x.x.

what ever you call it, it works and can be used, also in J4.4 :)
every product has its imperfections, even your browser and operating system gets updates at least once a month, don't they.

@ssnobben - use file that I shared yesterday. This is fully OK version, trust me.
Our office is today (Tuesday) closed in observation of Durga Puja. We will reopen on October 25, 2023 (Wednesday), and probably then it will be offcialy published.
I have no control over it, and do not want you to wait when I know that update file is ready.

- Update: Twitter X logo updated on social Icons (we used svg file)
- Fix: Frontend Media upload issue on third party editor
- Fix: Navigation font settings not working on Off-canvas
- Update: Favicon description (more you can read in Helix documenation)

Thks tried the file here for Helix Ultimate Joomla 5 support and seems to work with Joomla 5 compability support but not if you disable that "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plg for Joomla 5 compatiblity support.
There is a bug
"0
Class "JText" not found bug error" there for ---> Classes Aliases
Works if you have enabled the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plg with these settings.
- Classes Aliases - enabled
- ES5 Assets - disabled
- Removed Assets - disabled
So problem seems with the Classes Aliases.

Oh, BIG thanks, tomorrow dev will check those and decide.
Hopefully, all users by default has enabled all those 3 so don't see any error. And only very advanced webmaster check so deeply, and play with on-off to check what would happen after. But sure it would be great to correct that soon, before J5.0.x will start to be popular.
